Location: Neverland. But seriously, Southern Ontario.

The Birth:

First and foremost, I want to take the time to thank anyone who has stumbled upon shelbybells.tumblr.com and has spent a few minutes scrolling through the content I post. I did not create this blog for anyone but myself, so to anyone who has taken the time to reblog, like, or leave comments in my contact section… I greatly appreciate your interest -blushes-

I was in first year university (2009) when I created my blog page on Tumblr in hopes of having an online escape from all the text books and essays Political Science suffocated me with. I needed a place to vent and post pictures I find to be captivating in one form or another; a place where I wouldn’t be graded on or judged for any of the content I posted whether good or bad. That being said:

I do not reblog material. I post pictures as if they came straight from my imagination and onto the internet. If you see original content on my blog that you, yourself, have captured/taken/written and would like to request credit, please contact me.

I am, also, by no means a professional writer. I vent. My grammar isn’t perfect and neither is my spelling. I write about the days events, what I’m looking forward to in the future, what bothers me and what makes me happy… whatever is on my mind. If you are at all offended by my posts, my sincerest apologies that you feel as such.

The Present:

I work full time as part of a cosmetics team in town and work part time as a free lance stylist outside of town.

I’ve dressed for Toronto’s Fashion Week for two seasons now, working with top Canadian designers such as Jay Manuel, Sid Neigum, Amanda Lew Kee, BUSTLE, Chloe Comme Parris, David Dixon, Korhani, Lovas, Robert Graham, Tosca Delfino, Travis Taddeo, Vawk, Heather Lawton, LOVAS and so many more.

Fashion is a huge part of my life and always will be. My style is made up of little tidbits of everyday influences and surroundings. I will never change for anyone, and nor should you. Love yourself and be fearless.

I am going back to university to obtain a double degree major in art/art history. I grew up a very artistic child and plan on teaching art as a career. I can think of no greater happiness.

I change my hair style more than I change my undies, and I talk constantly of it.

Shoes are my obsession and I own too many pairs to count.

My closet is too small for the amount of clothes I own, and I’m constantly selling pieces in order to make room for newer purchases.

My nails are always painted.

I am heels over head in love with my boyfriend.

I was a 7-8 year vegetarian before I got sick. Now (unfortunately) fish and white meat are a part of my daily diet. I highly recommend to those who are considering a vegetarian diet or currently are vegetarians,to talk to your doctor and/or dietitian. Be smart. Be healthy. 

I have anxiety. Being a natural born over thinker does not help.
